Utopia of the Seas March 2026 – The Ship

This past week, I sailed on RCCL’s Utopia of the Seas to Nassau and Coco Cay on a 4-night voyage. I’ve posted about this ship from a previous voyage with photos HERE. My favorite hangouts this time were the Crown Lounge on Deck 16 for a quiet, indoor spot (Diamond members and above only) and the Solarium with ocean views, a pool and lounge chairs for adults. Deck 16 has some shaded, quieter sites with lounge chairs as well, so if the pool deck is crowded, head up there. I am with my friend, Sybil Bradley, on this cruise.

I noticed a turquoise and coral/red theme on the carpets, and stunning art works throughout. This sculpture on Deck 5 appears to represent seashells. The stairwells host colorful pictures so be sure to notice the artistic details on this ship.

This pretty crystal decoration hangs in one of the multi-story atriums. It looks more impressive lit up when you see it in person.

Other favorites were the Schooner Bar where we heard a musical duo, Boleros, Central Park, and the Rising Tide bar. We peeked into the Music Hall but didn’t attend any functions in there. Sybil and I enjoyed a drink at the Rising Tide lounge while it rose slowly from Deck 5 to Deck 8. It’s a cool experience in the evening.

Our cabin steward was efficient and friendly, and left us these towel designs.

As for entertainment, you can listen to live music at various sites throughout the ship, but be sure to reserve the nightly shows ahead of time. These include the spectacular aqua show with high divers, the awesome production show with lasers and drones, the ice skating show, and adult comedy performances. There’s the usual trivia and game shows and other activities.

But the best part of any cruise are the ocean views, and this time we had the good fortune to see a rainbow at sea. There was also a full moon in the sky at night.
