Utopia of the Seas March 2026 – The Food

Eating your way through a cruise is a popular pastime, and my recent 4-night voyage on RCCL’s Utopia of the Seas was no exception. The trip started with a seafood buffet for lunch in the Windjammer Café on Day One. I had lobster tail and shrimp before moving on to barbecue chicken, salad, and accompaniments.

Breakfast was my favorite meal of the day. At the Windjammer, you can get just about any breakfast food you might want, including made-to-order omelets.

We grabbed lunch at the buffet or on the islands.

Dinners in the Main Dining Room on Deck 4 offered the same menu as on previous cruises. I started with prime ribs on night one, had garlic shrimp and a turkey dinner on other evenings. The most memorable experience was the Royal Railway, which needs its own description in another post.

Complimentary snacks and meals are readily available in multiple locations, including the Solarium bistro, Central Park café, pizza at Sorrento’s, Promenade Café, and specialty dining restaurants for an extra fee. There’s free soft ice cream on the pool deck, and a faux food truck with take-out sandwiches. Mexican food is available on the sports deck and hot dogs at the Boardwalk. You won’t go hungry on this ship.

My friend, Sybil Bradley, and I did the Women of Wine tasting. We tasted seven different varieties produced by women winemakers, accompanied by a plate with fruit and cheese. We saw a short film on each winemaker and received an informative booklet to take home. This was a fun event if you’re a wine enthusiast.
